We’re the Kinetic Kois and we’re a community team from Overland Park, Kansas. Founded in our Team Captain’s basement (or as we call it, “The Pond”) during the 2023-24 season, we have grown into a team of fourteen passionate highschool students. We debuted in our rookie season this year and saw tremendous success. We won the Inspire award and Connect award at regionals and made it to state in our first year where we were runner ups for the Motivate award.

We also have on going projects outside the competition itself to promote STEM and plan to host at least a dozen mini projects that promote STEM in some way. Some of our future project plans include a partnership with Wayside Waifs to engineer pet feeders and other toys using a CNC and laser cutting machine. We also plan to sponsor some First Lego League teams at the elementary school and middle school level in local schools. One FLL team has already been created and sponsored and has been given the name Lego Warriors.
